Our Services

Because our Richmond office offers injectables, lasers, skin treatments, wellness care, and facial plastic surgery, you can move from a first injectable appointment to a surgical consultation without changing practices.

• Wrinkle-Relaxing Injections: Neuromodulators relax the facial muscles that create expression lines. Frown lines between the brows are the most common treatment area, and Botox, Dysport, and Letybo are all approved for them. Your injector can explain which product suits other areas, such as forehead lines or crow’s feet.
• Dermal Fillers and Collagen Builders: Fillers restore volume where it has thinned, and collagen stimulators help your skin rebuild its own support over time. Juvéderm and Restylane can treat the lips, cheeks, chin, nasolabial folds, and under-eyes. For gradual collagen support, Sculptra and PRF Selphyl Gel are common choices, and Bellafill is also used to treat acne scarring. Ariessence growth factor hair restoration is available as well.
• Contouring Without Surgery: Three treatments reshape specific areas with no incisions. Kybella reduces fat under the chin, and PDO threads give sagging skin a subtle lift. For the nose, non-surgical rhinoplasty uses filler to smooth its profile.
• Laser and Energy-Based Treatments: HALO, Moxi, and laser resurfacing improve texture and tone, while BBL Photofacial targets sun damage and redness. For loose skin, Sofwave skin tightening and RF microneedling are options. Separate laser treatments cover Clarity Toning, hair removal, mole removal, and spider veins. Downtime varies by device, so your provider will explain recovery before you book.
• Skin Treatments: Our master estheticians tailor facials and peels to your skin type and goals. DiamondGlow, dermaplaning, and corrective peels such as PCA peels refresh the skin’s surface, while microneedling and Rejuran glass skin treatments work on texture and glow. The menu also includes clinical skin treatments, DEJ Biostim, and Glow + Stim.
• Wellness and Weight Management: Medically supervised weight management treatments include GLP-1 medications and B12 injections. If you want that care organized into a structured plan, Synergy Slim wellness bundles combine it into one program.
• Facial Plastic Surgery: Dr. Shaw performs surgical procedures focused on personalized, natural-looking results. These procedures include rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, chin implants, septoplasty for a deviated septum, and earlobe repair. PatientFi financing is available for both surgical and non-surgical treatments.

About Our Richmond Med Spa

Our Richmond office is the flagship location of Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD. Patients come here for rhinoplasty, injectables, advanced skin care, and laser treatments, and Dr. Shaw guides the plans our team builds. We see patients from Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, and nearby Central Virginia communities.

Dr. Shaw is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and in otolaryngology, the specialty covering the head and neck. He also trains other injectors. As one of Richmond’s few certified Botox and Juvéderm instructors, he brings a surgeon’s knowledge of facial anatomy to the injectable plans at our office.

Because the practice offers surgical and non-surgical care, our team can recommend whichever approach best fits your goals. If filler or a laser treatment can’t realistically deliver the result you want, for example, they’ll tell you and walk you through surgical options with Dr. Shaw. The reverse also happens, and some patients who arrive asking about surgery learn that a less invasive treatment suits them better.

Allergan, the maker of Botox Cosmetic and Juvéderm, has also named the practice a Diamond-Level Allergan Partner, a status it gives its leading partner practices. Across every treatment, the practice’s goal is a natural result that looks like a refreshed version of you.

Dr. Shaw’s work also extends beyond the office. His path into facial plastic surgery began on a World Pediatric Project mission to Belize, where he helped repair cleft lips and palates for children. Closer to home, he volunteers with Access Now, a Richmond Academy of Medicine program offering specialty care to uninsured patients, and manages the Richmond chapter of Cycling Without Age.

Whitney Lange, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner and our lead injector! She has been in medical aesthetics since 2016 and has since developed a proficiency in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation, and fat-reduction, and she went on to become an instructor in the field. After three years of traveling and performing training across the state, Whitney joined the Travis Shaw, MD team in the Summer of 2020.

Adriane Rodgers, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience. She is passionate about medical aesthetics and working with patients to personalize a treatment program that is just right for them. 

Jessica Kernodle, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant and Richmond native. She began her injecting career in 2017 and has undergone extensive training in cosmetic injecting, including advanced techniques using neurotoxins and dermal fillers. Jessica is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. She was voted by her peers as one of Richmond’s “Top Docs” in Richmond Magazine‘s physician assistant category and recognized by Our Health Magazine for “Best Bedside Manner.”

Aliyah Bowen, Master Esthetician, has been a Medical Aesthetician in the medical aesthetics field since 2019. She is enthusiastic about staying current with the latest skincare technology and actively uses social media to learn about new skincare trends.

Jamie Maggard, Surgical Coordinator joined Dr. Shaw as his Surgical Coordinator in the fall of 2021. Prior to joining Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD, she worked in pediatrics. She quickly developed a love for the aesthetics industry and finds it rewarding to see the positive impact of plastic surgery on patients.

Brooke Hendrickson, Master Esthetician. Born and raised in Richmond, Brooke has always loved and been passionate about skincare since she can remember. Brooke has been an Aesthetician 2019, since Graduating from the Lotus School of Integrated professions here in Virginia and licensed in two states her purpose is to educate and help others with their own personal skin goals and journey.

Visiting Our Richmond Med Spa Near Stony Point

Our Richmond med spa is located at 8730 Stony Point Parkway, Suite 120, just minutes from Stony Point Fashion Park. Because the Stony Point Parkway exits on Chippenham Parkway sit right beside the James River crossing, the drive is manageable from either side of the river.

Several nearby neighborhoods, including Bon Air, Westover Hills, Huguenot, and Forest Hill, are a short drive away. From the West End, the Fan District, or downtown Richmond, Chippenham Parkway and Huguenot Road are the most direct routes.
