How Can MyEllevate® Help?
MyEllevate® can be very helpful when you want the effects of a neck lift without going through invasive surgery. Using light-guided sutures, this procedure requires no incisions, which means that the recovery time is also shorter.

The MyEllevate® Procedure
MyEllevate® is a minimally invasive procedure that requires no incisions. There will only be light-guided sutures to lift your neck. These sutures can tighten and lift the underlying layers of your neck, sculpting it and making it appear much firmer.
During the procedure, Dr. Shaw uses ICLED® light guidance to accurately and strategically place permanent sutures inside your neck skin tissue. To do this, he will use Suturod®, a surgical device that requires no incision. The device is guided by a light, working like a needle and thread.
The unit will deliver LED light through your tissue to determine exactly where the sutures need to be placed. This will ensure accurate results, with as few suture entry points as possible, leaving fewer marks as compared to your average neck lift. Once the sutures are in place, Dr. Shaw will tighten them as necessary until the desired results are reached.
The MyEllevate® procedure takes about an hour to finalize. Dr. Shaw will apply a local anesthetic to the target area, reducing as much of your discomfort as possible.
MyEllevate® Results
With MyEllevate®, you should be able to see the first results immediately after stepping out of the office. The sutures pulling on your skin will provide a lifted effect, making it seem as if your neck and jaw look smoother. However, the swelling may prevent you from seeing the full results of the treatment.
The actual first effects should become visible after three to five days, once the swelling goes down. However, since the suture will continuously trigger your body’s healing process, your collagen production will also increase. Within the first one to two months, you will notice your skin becoming firmer and plumper, with fewer wrinkles in the lower face area.
Since the MyEllevate® sutures are non-absorbable, the effects of the procedure could be visible for up to five years. The procedure does not completely stop the aging process, which is why the sutures might start sagging naturally with your skin as time goes on. Treatment Recovery and Downtime
Similar to every cosmetic procedure, MyEllevate® holds the potential for side effects and downtime. The most common side effects include temporary swelling, and redness, along with some bruising at the treatment site. These side effects should go away within a few days after the treatment. Dr. Shaw recommends that you refrain from physical exercises in the first two to three days after the procedure.
The procedure itself is not very painful and is otherwise very well-tolerated. After the anesthesia wears off, you may feel some mild pain or discomfort. If you are sensitive to pain, then Dr. Shaw can recommend pain medication for you to take.
There is little downtime involved with MyEllevate® and most patients feel better three to four days after the treatment. Most MyEllevate® patients can walk around the house during the first 24 hours but are recommended to take time off from work. While only a few sutures are made, they will need some time to settle. Engaging in intensive labor and not resting immediately after the procedure can lead to a longer recovery time.
